Author Program

The Imagineering Interest group hosted authors John Scalzi, Steven Erikson, Jeff VanderMeer at the Washington ALA Conference (2007). The authors were joined by Madeleine L'Engle's granddaughter who discussed the new edition of A Wrinkle in Time.

The speakers were all great!

Be sure to visit John Scalzi's blog, Whatever.

Changed Priorities Ahead

While at the OCLC Blogger's Salon last night, I ran into Stephen Abrams and we commented on the "Changed Priorities" road sign in London.

I was in Knightsbridge in January 2005 and saw this sign and found it quite apt. So, I was surprised when at the 2006 ASIDIC I saw Stephen had also taken the same shot (see his fabulous presentation here.

Obviously, this is a clear message to the information profession. So, go out there and change your priorities!
